However, thousands of comments have already poured in hinting at a SHIB and McDonald’s or Burger King collaborations. The lead developer of Shiba Inu, Shytoshi Kusama refuted it has anything to do with restaurant chains leading the way to believe that it could be a Netflix collaboration.
Shytoshi refuted the McDonald’s, Burger King, and KFC collaborations as fantasy during a Q&A session with users on Discord. He stated that this particular teaser is much bigger and will add value to Shiba Inu. “I know you want McDonald’s or whatever but we aren’t some band doing an endorsement! This isn’t about accepting SHIB,” he said.
“How is signing with McDonald’s leading us further towards Decentralization? You think McDonald’s accepting SHIB or DOGE for that matter does anything but pump? We want real, lasting change,” Shytoshi summed it up.
Also, considering the television screens in the teaser, there’s likely Shiba Inu and Netflix collaboration to be announced. Rumors about SHIB and a Netflix movie have been doing the rounds since October 2021 after Shytoshi repeatedly tagged Netflix hinting at collaborations.
Moreover, during a Discord Q&A session on January 20, Shytoshi revealed he had a movie script and would love to produce it. He also mentioned Netflix in the same chat saying, “Netflix is looking like next year at best.” However, he didn’t provide further details about the development and went on to the next topic.

Shytoshi, also tweeted that the team is ”pitching” a collaboration to a multinational company and sounded positive about bagging it. Could it be that Netflix has liked Shytoshi’s story and will soon film a story of a dog’s journey to the moon? And the upcoming movie could most likely be released sometime next year in 2023?
