The Shiba Inu ecosystem and the community have a lot to look forward to in 2023. Following the beta launch of Shibarium, the mainnet deployment is sought after by many members of the community. As the Metaverse started to garner steam, the network decided to update the community regarding the progress of SHIB: The Metaverse.
Earlier today, the Shiba Inu network announced on Twitter that Rocket Pond will soon be revealed. In order to raise their concerns and get them addressed in the following blog update, the team has urged the community to reach out and submit MV-related inquiries.
The Rocket Pond concept was first introduced in September 2022. A black-and-white sketch of the rocket pond, referred to be a “hidden resort” in the future SHIB metaverse, was released by the team via Shibaswap last year. The team unveiled another colored concept imagery of the rocket pond three days later. It was brought to light that the rocket pond drew inspiration for its ethereal resort from well-known American places, namely Lake Tahoe and Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park. The upcoming update is likely to reveal more details about the same.
However, it isn’t confirmed yet if Rocket Pond would entail all of the aforementioned aspects. The project’s plan and goals were modified by the Metaverse team, according to the most recent blog entry. The crew is now totally committed to giving users a more immersive experience. The team is presently building and enhancing additional hubs for the community.
Will SHIB: The Metaverse thrive despite the dying interest in the Metaverse?
Several prominent firms all across the globe have been backing out or shelving their metaverse plans. However, the Shiba Inu network has been moving forward with its objective. The network seems to have garnered confidence through the SHIB Army. Unlike other major platforms, the Shiba Inu ecosystem has a loyal following.
Additionally, this project has caught the eye of several major firms as well as Hollywood. Therefore, the meme coin’s entry into the virtual world is expected to be eventful. Nevertheless, a few naysayers called out the network for delaying Shibarium. It looks like the community was clearly more inclined towards Shibarium as opposed to the metaverse.
