The top Whale token by ‘dollar position’ race is on. As per the data provided by Whalestats, Shiba Inu toppled FTX to become the biggest token position by dollar value among the top 1000 Ethereum wallets. Total holding value surpassed the $2 billion mark, reaching a whopping $2,806,528,218. Although the top spot was held by Shiba Inu for only a brief moment, it sure is making waves in the community.

Ethereum whales seem to be in a race to position themselves in the right corner. The Shib vs. FTX race is heating up, with each out-toppling each other with every passing moment.
Recent developments
Shiba Inu has been on everyone’s viewfinder for some time now. The Shiba Inu community, or ShibArmy, as they are popularly known, has never missed an opportunity to showcase SHIB’s best side.
Recently, Shytoshi Kusama, the lead developer of Shiba Inu, answered various questions, including what the future holds for SHIB. He also revealed that Shib is on the verge of finishing a deal, and would “break the internet”. Although we are yet to know the entirety of this deal, it sure has done its job of riling up the crowd.
Shytoshi said he had a movie script and would love to develop it during a Discord Q&A session on the 20th of January. In the same conversation, he referenced Netflix, adding, “Netflix is looking like next year at best.” He didn’t go into any more depth regarding the development.

Moreover, recently, SHIB’s official account posted a video of television screens with their logos embossed on them. ”Attention. Something is cooking? Will you be ready?” read a line in the video. The video did not answer our questions and left the community guessing.
Can Shiba Inu take the top spot among memecoins?
Memecoin wars are nothing new. Each token and its supporting community have been at one another with each trying to out-support the other. With Shiba Inu briefly taking the top memecoin spot among the top Ethereum wallets, sure does help the Shib community further its goals. The top position is, of course, subjected to change every hour. But Shib’s position undoubtedly adds some amount of confidence.
