Adam Aron, the CEO of AMC Theatres confirmed that Dogecoin and Shiba Inu will be accepted as payment by March 2022. “I have been repeatedly asked when AMC expects to routinely accept Dogecoin and Shiba Inu for all payments made via the AMC website and mobile app. I am being told that we are still well on track for the promised Q1 implementation, with exact timing most likely in March,” he tweeted.
However, if AMC Theatres start accepting the meme-tokens by early March 2022, movie enthusiasts could get to watch Robert Pattinson starrer The Batman in theatres by paying via SHIB and Doge.

The Batman will hit the theatres on March 4, 2022, across the United States. However, this could happen only if everything goes as planned with no delays or hiccups from AMC Theatres. Moreover, The Batman could proudly tout itself as the first movie to have accepted meme-tokens as payment via AMC.
In addition, BitPay will implement the payment gateway to accept Shiba Inu and Dogecoin at AMC Theatres.

Business Around the World Accept Shiba Inu and Dogecoin
A lot of businesses have come forward announcing they would accept SHIB and DOGE as legal payment on their website. New York’s upscale Nerdy Frames sunglasses revealed they’re accepting Shiba Inu, Dogecoin, Kishu Inu, and FEG Token.
Moreover, the other business accepting SHIB at the moment are: Steven Cooper’s Bigger Entertainment, Shiba Coffee Company, The Vibe Maquillage, Marklien, Precious Paws, Cryptoon Network, Save The F**king Trees, THE SHIBETTES | 1/1 NFTs, and Shiba Search.
