Recently, users took notice of the fact that Airbnb was looking to house Ukrainians fleeing from their country due to tensions with Russia. Since a fraction of Ukrainians were dealing with cryptocurrencies during the ongoing war, a CNBC interviewer asked Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky whether the firm would support crypto payment. Although Chesky said that there were no crypto-specific announcements to be made yet, he clarified that the firm was definitely mulling over the issue. The news generated a fresh wave of Shiba Inu and Airbnb-related tweets.

This was not the first time Twitter users have directed Shiba Inu towards Airbnb. The trend was observed during early January as well soon after Brian Chesky hinted that the company could start crypto payments.
NASDAQ Firms Which Currently Accept Shiba Inu
Should Airbnb adhere to the communities’ request, it would join an exclusive list of NASDAQ-listed firms which have integrated Shiba Inu as a valid crypto payment. The likes of AMC Entertainment Holdings, Bed Bath & Beyond Inc, Barnes and Noble Education Inc, and GameStop Corp jumped on the bandwagon relatively early. Furthermore, speculations are being made whether that E-commerce giant Amazon and the world’s largest fast-food chain operator Mcdonald’s would be the next big names on the list.
