Shiba Inu is reaching new places as more number of retailers are coming forward to accept the meme-currency as payment. The new to the list is Virtual Reality World as it announced accepting Shiba Inu as legal payment. Customers can now pay at VR World with SHIB through payment aggregator BitPay.
VR World is the largest virtual reality club and is situated in both South and North America. The VR World is active in the NFT space and also hosted an afterparty at the NFT NYC conference in November.
“After VR World hosted the official afterparty for NFT NYC conference last month, it became clear to us – cryptocurrency has entered everyday life,” said the CEO of VR World Leo Tsimmer.
“@vrworldnyc , the largest virtual reality club in America, now accepts #cryptocurrency for payment for goods and services through BitPay,” tweeted the official handle of BitPay.
On December 9, 2021, BitPay announced its integrating SHIB and give access to retailers to accept SHIB as payment. The development has thrill the investors’ community who believe that the meme-token is headed towards the right direction. Apart from Shiba Inu, customers can also pay with Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin, Litecoin among others through BitPay.
Apart from VR World, 10 other companies accepted Shiba Inu as payment in December 2021 alone. The retailers are Nerdy Frames, Ask The Doctor, GameStop, Lowe’s, Petco, Bed Bath & Beyond, Ulta Beauty, Shiba Coffee Company, Shiba Mobile Repair and AMC Theatres.
Nonetheless, five of these mention retailers integrated SHIB as payment through Flexa. Retailers are accepting SHIB as payment as a face-pace and the numbers could double in the coming months.
UK’s IndoEx Exchange Platform to List Shiba Inu
The United Kingdom’s crypto trading exchange IndoEx confirmed it would list Shiba Inu on its platform. However, IndoEx has not given a specific timeline on listing SHIB but stated that it’s an “upcoming listing”. IndoEx tweeted, “SHIBA INU (SHIB) UPCOMING Listing on Indoex,” without giving a timeline on when SHIB could go live.
Also, Europe’s largest crypto exchange Bitstamp announced it would list Shiba Inu in 2022. The listing had to go live this month but didn’t go through due to “technical issues”.
At the time of publishing, Shiba Inu was trading at $0.00003269 and is down -3.34% in the 24-hours day trade.
