Polygon’s NFT marketplace has evolved quite a lot since its inception. It has been able to create a niche for itself, despite treading on an unconventional path. Its demographic, as such, is more inclined towards gaming companies and developers rather than collectibles as on the Ethereum network.

Nevertheless, its recent growth has been striking. The number of NTFs sold on the L2 protocol has consistently been inching higher. The tally last month was just short of 2 million. However, the marketplace has been able to surpass the said number and register to a new ATH of late.

Until now in January, over 2.15 million NFTs have been sold. Polygon’s network activity has also spiked, thanks to the new highs achieved by the NFT sales.

Correspondingly, the number of monthly active traders has also grown immensely. The number that remained well under 1k in the August-September period, has already surpassed 2k so far this month.
