After months of conceptualization, Mr. Dran’s brainchild – the Shiba Search Engine, finally materialized in November last year.

Like most members from the SHIB Army, even Dran got into this token with the hopes and dreams of it going to 1 cent and beyond. However, when he realized that the circulating supply of this token was too large, he got into his research mode and came up with the aforesaid product.

In Shiba Search Engine’s manifesto, Dran claimed two things. One – the project, via burning, would make it possible for SHIB to get to 1 cent and beyond, and two, it’d be able to stop ‘devious’ whales from trying to pump and dump Shiba to their advantage.

A step in the right direction

A couple of days back, on 26 January, the project carried out its first-ever burn. As highlighted above, this project is quite different from the rest as it offers members of the SHIB Army a new product to use while destroying Shiba Inu.

As per data from Etherscan, Shiba Search burned 60,767,062 SHIB worth $1,378.20 at the time of the burn. A fee of 0.0073 Ether was incurred.

The burn was, notably, done on a live stream that showcased Shiba Search revealing their Google AdSense earnings in a bank account, which they then transferred to Coinbase Pro, before purchasing and burning Shiba Inu.

After the burn event, Mr. Dran felt quite relieved. In an interview with Planet Crypto, the pseudonymous founder was quoted saying,

“We got into this project knowing very well that we had to prove ourselves first before any traction could happen.”

He added,

“So it honestly felt a little refreshing as it also meant it’s finally the opportunity to finally put to rest a lot of the FUD that a lot of people tried throwing at us.”

While it doesn’t have any set goals for the future, Mr. Dran said Shiba Search will get to “the serious levels of revenue per month” pretty fast. He additionally asserted that it could burn upwards of $10 million per month in just a few months.

“I’ve worked with a few reputable small search engines in the past that are now much bigger than they started so it’s kind of a refresher going down this alley again.”

Shiba Search also has an Android app, with an iOS version coming in the near future.

As with many burning projects in the ShibArmy, Mr. Dran described ShibaSearch as a “community-driven project” that hopes to offer more benefits in the future. Elucidating on the same, he added,

“There will be giveaways, opportunities for Shiba Search to buy NFTs made by Shiba Search supporters, and charitable donations.”

The creator also said if SHIB reaches $0.01, they would start paying the revenue to users, rather than burning it. At the time of press, SHIB was trading at $0.00002132, up by 3% on the daily timeframe.
