House Speaker Kevin McCarthy has formally announced an impeachment inquiry into US President Joe Biden. Indeed, McCarthy made the announcement today in an effort for the committee to “gather all the facts and answers for the American public.”
Biden has seen an influx of allegations regarding his knowledge of his son’s business dealings with foreign dignitaries during his term as Vice President. Subsequently, McCarthy noted that the inquiry would allow the president the opportunity to answer those allegations and present the facts once and for all.

Kevin McCarthy Announces Impeachment Inquiry Into President Joe Biden
In a press conference that took place today, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy announced a formal Biden impeachment inquiry. Indeed, he stated his direction to the House Committee in order to obtain answers surrounding the President’s knowledge of his family’s dealings with international governments.
“Today I am directing our House Committee to open a formal impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden. This logical next step will give our committees the full power to gather all the cats and answers for the American public,” McCarthy stated.

In an accompanying post on X, formerly Twitter, McCarthy noted the allegations facing the president. “Over the past several months, House Republicans have uncovered serious and credible allegations about President Biden’s conduct—a culture of corruption,” he stated.
The inquiry is set to be led by House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer. Moreover, he will work with Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan and Jason Smith, chairman of the Ways and Means Committee. The inquiry is seemingly the result of a January investigation into Hunter Biden’s business dealings while Joe Biden was vice president. Now, the committee is seeking answers as to the president’s involvement in that activity.
