Everybody seems to be tweeting about dogs lately and Microsoft is the new addition to the trend. The multinational company tweeted about “dogs” today in connection with ”team meetings”. The tweet has riled up the Shiba Inu community speculating that it could be a cryptic tweet about the meme-currency.
”There are two types of dogs on Teams meetings,” tweeted Microsoft. The SHIB community is in full swing in the comments section tagging the software giant about a possible collaboration. However, not much is known about the motive behind the tweet and the meaning remains to be a mystery.
The tweet also caught the eye of SHIB’s lead developer Shytoshi Kusama who replied with a ‘surprised’ GIF. Even SHIB’s top influencer, Milkshake tweeted about ‘hoping’ for a possible Microsoft and Shiba Inu collaboration. ”Woof! Let me guess #ShibaInu
@Microsoft,” she tweeted.
However, Microsoft has not specifically named Shiba Inu in their tweet. We’ll have to wait and watch for an official confirmation regarding the updates.
What Connection Does Microsoft Have With Shiba Inu?
Shiba Inu partnered with William Volk, the former head at Activision Blizzard for the release of an upcoming game. In a twist of events, Microsoft announced it will acquire Activision in a deal nearly worth $68.7 billion.
As soon as the deal was announced, Shytoshi took to Twitter saying ”big players share the same vision as a ”meme-coin.”
”ICYMI: This acquisition echoes our last move to bring aboard former Activision VP. @william_volk and hiring of @PlaysideStudio to work on our game. It’s fun to see the big players share the same vision as a “meme coin” on the MV too. #bullish! #SHIBARMY.”
Reports also suggested that Microsoft acquiring Activision is eventually good news for Shiba Inu as largely benefits its gaming goals. You can read here as to why Microsoft and SHIB have similar goals and who really benefits from the deal.
SHIB also has a deal with Australia’s PlaySide Studios in a strategic work-for-hire contract. PlaySide will work on production, design, engineering, art, user interface, and experience development services to the Shiba Inu Games. The game is expected to be released sometime during the second half of 2022.
PlaySide confirmed that it would deliver an AAA-level game that users can play at platforms of their choice. The platforms include mobile, virtual reality, augmented reality, and PC.
