The Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) metaverse “Otherside” is all set to launch as the team announces the release date.
The “Otherside” is set to launch on April 30 at 12 pm ET. The announcement was made on its official Twitter page, @OthersideMeta.

The hint of the metaverse was launched by the Bored Ape team on March 19, 2022, with a catchy video showing a glimpse of its metaverse. The “Otherside” metaverse has already gathered so much popularity that its Discord group has reached over 131,900 members.
The BAYC NFTs have gathered so much growth and popularity in a year since the first NFT minting started on April 23, 2021. Back then, the floor price was 0.08 ETH each, whereas now it has hit an all-time high of 125 ETH, which is a whopping gain of 1562x.
ApeCoin and the metaverse
ApeCoin seems to have harnessed a lot of growth ever since its launch in March. APE is currently trading at $16.50 at the time of writing and hit a high of $18.22 yesterday.
ApeCoin will be the governance token that will power the BAYC metaverse. As BAYC adoption increases, the ApeCoin is expected to soar higher in price.
The “Otherside” metaverse is alleged to present over 200,000 land plots as per the details from a leak. Buying virtual land in the metaverse has been spiking in demand recently. BAYC aims to lure investors to make use of this popularity.
The demand and price of ApeCoin are also expected to skyrocket if the team decides to make ApeCoin the only payment system that could be used to purchase lands in the metaverse. That is debatable speculation for the future.
The BAYC team has managed to amass great popularity and growth in a year. The Bored Ape team is also planning to hold an ApeFest in Manhattan this June. They also hinted at a potential Adidas partnership with its metaverse project.
