A Shiba Inu-themed dog made its way into e-commerce giant Amazon’s website today. The ‘Amazon Day Delivery’ page shows what appears to be a silhouette of a SHIB-themed dog placed next to the packages. Another design shows the dog breed popping its head out from inside the package and giving out a smile.
Screenshots of the Amazon-SHIB page have flooded social media and excitement has touched the roof among Shiba Inu investors. Investors are wondering if Amazon plans to accept Shiba Inu as payment and will make an official announcement soon. However, not much clarity is shed on the dog-themed design by Amazon and they’ve remained tight-lipped about the development.

The Twitter handle named Xanders Shib was the first to share the screenshots of the Amazon-SHIB page. “Amazon Day Delivery. Well well well. This got very interesting. Does anyone recognize anything in the image? WOOF!” he tweeted.
The lead developer of SHIB, Shytoshi Kusama also retweeted it with the ‘surprised eyes’ emojis. Shytoshi had recently shared a blurred picture of a dog in the park that read “something is brewing”. However, he didn’t reveal further details and hinted that a major announcement might soon be out.

Even during #ShibAma, the moderator of SHIB’s Discord, Queenie confirmed there will be a “huge announcement” at the start of 2022. Just a few days ago, she again spoke about the topic stating that the team is working on the development and will make an announcement soon.
Looking at the direction things are going, there are chances that Amazon might consider accepting Shiba Inu as legal payment. However, Amazon has not confirmed accepting SHIB yet and we’ll have to wait and watch for an official statement.
Amazon ‘Considering’ to Accept Shiba Inu as Payment Started in July, 2021
Speculations have been doing the rounds since July 2021 that Amazon is considering accepting Shiba Inu as legal payment on their website’s check-out page. Crypto and stock market analyst was the first to reveal inside information through their source that Amazon is laying the groundwork for accepting SHIB.
He had revealed that Amazon is planning to finalize 2 cryptocurrencies out of 4 which the dev team was looking into.
“Amazon denies plans to accept BTC. This is in line with my sources who say Amazon is currently investigating several projects with plans to accept crypto payments from at least 2 cryptos in 2022. So far the rumored projects I have heard are $SHIB, $AMP, $MATIC, $HOKK,” he tweeted.
At press time, Shiba Inu was trading at $0.00002510 and is down -11.6% in the 24-hours day trade.
