DeversiFi, a prominent DeFi trading firm, has partnered with Web3 browser Opera to support its crypto effort. Opera launched its Crypto Browser Project earlier this month, allowing users to access their crypto wallets without needing to login in all the time. Now, elevating its interest in crypto, Opera decided to explore Ethereum layer 2.
The demand for NFTs and the DeFi space, in general, has risen dramatically. Constant use of these platforms, as well as Ethereum [ETH], may be inconvenient due to the network’s scalability and congestion difficulties. To make things easier, DeversiFi chose to integrate Ethereum layer 2 into Opera.
Unlike the OG network, Ethereum layer 2 comes with an array of benefits. The layer 2 wallet enables effective trading with cheap fees and quick transfers. With this integration, Opera will be able to conduct ETH peer-to-peer transactions more easily, quickly, and cheaply.
Will Harborne, co-founder and CEO of DeversiFi, elaborated on the same, stating that the latest integration will allow Opera users to smoothly engage with DeFi. This would be an entirely new way to connect with financial services. He added,
“Layer 2 technologies are revolutionizing the blockchain industry and we are proud to be working with Opera to bring our frictionless, low-cost gas-free trading solution, combined with StarkEx’s scalability benefits, to their millions of users. Integrating our DeFi infrastructure in this way is just the start, and is tipping the scales of mainstream adoption of Layer 2”
DeversiFi to elevate Opera’s crypto vision
The incorporation of crypto into Opera was genuinely innovative. With the addition of DeversiFi and Ethereum layer 2, the browser further hopes to make web access more convenient. With over 380 million users worldwide, Opera’s crypto-friendly move will hasten the industry’s expansion.
Furthermore, with this new addition, Opera will be the first Android mobile browser to integrate a layer 2 Ethereum wallet. The beta version of Ethereum layer 2 for browsers is now available. In addition, the web browser will purportedly contain more layer 2 solutions in the near future as part of the Opera Crypto Browser Project.
