GTA 6 Rumored To Cost $150 per Copy, Game Built on $2 Billion Budget

GTA 6 is undoubtedly the most anticipated game in the world, and fans have been eagerly awaiting its release for a decade. GTA 5 was released in 2013, and gamers have been patiently waiting for a decade. The latest rumor suggests that the game could be released before 2026. According to the reports, Rockstar Games is set to price GTA 6 at $150 per copy after its release.

The higher price tag comes due to speculation that the game was made on a massive budget of $2 billion. The parent company, Take 2 Interactive, aimed to recover investments within the first few days of its release. GTA 6 could earn $1 billion on the first day of its release and recover $2 billion within three days. It took GTA 5 three days to cross the $1 billion mark in sales.

GTA 6: A Big Announcement To Be Made In October?

A recent audio leak from Take 2 Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick indicated that a major announcement could be made in October. Zelnick is heard saying in the audio note that Rockstar Games will announce something major on October 23 and 24. However, the clip had been taken down at press time. It is not known if they will announce a trailer or a teaser release. Nonetheless, the new leak has fans excited and looking out for the October surprise.

“BREAKING: Apparently there’s a leaked voice note from the Take 2 interactive CEO where he discusses the release for GTA 6. He says, ‘An announcement is expected very soon this October 23rd,’ ‘The next GTA is expected to launch in October 24.’ THIS IS BIG!” read the tweet.
