Elon Musk’s entry into Twitter as the largest shareholder paved the way for celebrations throughout the Dogecoin [DOGE] community. It’s no secret that Musk is heavily inclined towards DOGE. As a result, the entire crypto community speculated that Musk’s acquisition of Twitter could open up more opportunities for the dog-inspired meme coin.

Just yesterday, Musk made his debut as a board member of Twitter. This further paved the way for more Dogecoin-centric hopes.

From the Dogecoin tipping jar to DOGE payments, the community had a slew of demands for Musk. One Twitter user even pitched the change of the Twitter logo from the bird to a dog. However, several believed that the Tesla CEO would prioritize eliminating crypto bots on Twitter over other upgrades.

Time and again Musk has been dragged into controversies. From fake profiles to scammy giveaways, Musk has been a part of them without really being a part of them. Following this, Musk has urged Twitter to look into it multiple times. After garnering no response, it seems like he went on to acquire most of Twitter.

Dogecoin to kill crypto bots?

While several were pitching several DOGE-related ideas for Musk’s Twitter, the co-founder of the project gave his 2 cents as well. Billy Markus’ idea involved Twitter rolling out a feature where a transaction of 1 DOGE is mandatory to tag or reply to threads. Markus further tweeted,

Concluding this pitch, Markus jokingly suggested,

”also the idea of someone getting so triggered that they have to pay you to insult you is amusing to me”

Amidst this, Dogecoin investors were pocketing major gains. Right after Musk acquired a 9.2 percent stake on Twitter, DOGE turned green. During press time, the meme coin was trading for $0.1614 while surging by nearly 7 percent over the 24-hours. While the entire market was painted in red, DOGE was the only asset glistening in green.

Additionally, the community speculated that the actual implementation of Dogecoin on Twitter could be game-changing as a mere announcement pushed its price.
