When it comes to Richard Heart and the HEX community, everything that glitters is indeed gold. The world’s largest cut black carat diamond which is believed to be from outer space was sold for $4.3 million at Sotheby’s Auction on Wednesday.
In addition, the rare diamond named ‘The Enigma’ weighs 555.55 carats and has 55 facets. News about the sale hit headlines, but the person who won the auction was none other than HEX founder Richard Heart.
Heart also opted to pay for the auction using cryptocurrency, confirmed Sotheby’s.

”#AuctionUpdate “The Enigma”: This 555.55 carat Black Diamond sold today for £3,161,000 / $4,292,322. The buyer has opted to use cryptocurrency for the purchase,” they tweeted.
As soon as the auction was done, Heart took to Twitter confirming that he won the bid to own The Enigma. He also revealed that once he completes the payment, he’ll rename the diamond to ‘HEX.com diamond’.

”As soon as the payment is gone through and the possession is being taken. After that, (We’ll) be the owners of the world’s largest uncut diamond,” he said in a video on Twitter.

Heart is known for living a lavish life with expensive cars, fancy jewelry. He also owns limited-edition Rolex watches and Louis Vuitton bags. Moreover, the purchase comes as no surprise as his taste for all things expensive has only raised the bar high.

The Enigma is believed to have extraterrestrial origins, as it contains small amounts of nitrogen and hydrogen. In addition, it is also believed that the rare black diamond is more than 2 billion years old. Moreover, it is one of the rarest diamonds in the world with an exquisite cut and finishes.
