Buying Axie Infinity with PayPal
Step 1: Fund your PayPal account
Currently, you cannot play Axie Infinity for free unless it is through a scholarship or Free Starter Axies, which the company mentioned that it would be introducing soon.
Therefore, you should first transfer funds from your bank account or mobile money platform into your PayPal account.
Step 2: Purchase Crypto
Create a Paxful account or Coinbase (for the U.S only) and complete the registration process.
Assuming that you have now logged in, proceed to buy your coin (BTC or ETH). However, for this tutorial, we shall use Bitcoin.
On both platforms, the “Buy” button is visible as soon as you log in. Proceed to click on it and select the Bitcoin option.
Going further, you will select PayPal as your mode of payment and then complete the transaction.
Step 3: Select a Cryptocurrency Exchange and transfer the BTC
Currently, the top exchanges are Binance and Gate.io. These are the tools that will help you trade in your BTC to a form required to purchase Axie Infinity.
Create a Binance free account and copy to clipboard the address displayed in the Binance deposit crypto page.
Navigate to the Paxful or Coinbase Wallet page to “Send” your BTC to the Binance wallet address you copied.
Step 4: BTC to Axie Infinity
After receiving your BTC in your Binance wallet, navigate to the Binance convert and OTC page, where you will see an input form.
In the “From” field, select BTC and input the amount of BTC you would want to convert. And in the “To” field, choose AXS from the dropdown menu and proceed to get your tokens.
