XcelTrip will now allow customers to pay for airline and hotel bookings using Shiba Inu. Shiba Inu holders can make use of this feature in over 2.3 million hotels and 450+ airlines spread across 70+ countries.
XcelTrip is a decentralized travel ecosystem. The platform uses blockchain technology and integrates it into the travel sector, streamlining the entire process of bookings and payments. Now the platform’s 650,000+ registered users can avail of this feature.
Shiba Inu adoption on the rise
The travel platform already accepts cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Tether (USDT), Binance Coin (BNB), Litecoin (LTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), XcelDefi (XLD), XDC Network (XDC), and XcelToken Plus. XcelTrip has taken another step forward by adding SHIB to its payment method.
It was also recently announced that Shiba Inu (SHIB) would be accepted by Lavu and Verifone customers in the hundreds of restaurants listed on their new program, which span 65 countries. This is a significant boost for SHIB’s already large user base.
Additionally, it has just been revealed that the Shib Army’s efforts to bring Shiba Inu and RedBull together are gaining pace. ShibaSwap’s chief developer, Shytoshi Kusama, tweeted that he had spoken with the Red Bull team.
One announcement that might pop up real soon is the release of the Shibarium documentation that was teased earlier this month. The Shiba Inu team recently added a veteran from Immersive Media to push the development of the SHIB Metaverse.
Marcie Jastrow has worked in the entertainment industry for almost 20 years. Her expertise spans augmented reality, artificial intelligence, mixed reality, and virtual reality, to name a few (VR). The team can utilize Marcie’s expertise to bring further developments to the SHIB metaverse. The meme coin has witnessed one of the best years in terms of development and growth. But SHIB still has a long way to hit its all-time high of $0.00008845.
