Happy Birthday, SafeMoon! SFM fans must be in a celebratory mood as their favorite token turns one-year old today.

To kick off their celebrations, Safemoon has revealed that their website will be hosted in a new home on their anniversary, i.e. 2nd of March, 2022. SFM will be rebranding its website from safemoon.net to safemoon.com.

Safemoon: .net to .com, isn’t that a minor detail?

Although the change seems small, it could definitely mean a lot more. For starters, dot com is almost a universal website domain. It is easier for someone to find the website of their choice with a dot com domain. This would work towards Safemoon’s betterment, and help in ease of finding the site.

With the launch of the new website, the SFM team has announced that there would be a party to celebrate their one year anniversary. The party would most likely be a virtual event, and fans and users are eagerly waiting to hear from the Safemoon team regarding new updates and immediate plans.

The Tweet says that there is more to come, so I guess we can all brace ourselves for what’s ahead.

John Karony in The Gambia

Safemoon CEO John Karony may be in The Gambia as of this moment, as he had posted an Instagram picture of what appears to be the Gambia River, along with the caption “I am here.” Karony will most probably be meeting with Gambian government officials to discuss wind turbine projects related to Operation Phoenix, which is a part of V2.

Operation Phoenix is quite ambitious in its approach. The company plans to combine blockchain technology with wind turbines to decentralize the energy sector. The team had planned to launch this project in Gambia.

Safemoon did see some upset fans and users as the token had failed to deliver on some of their promises. The Mandala listing did not go as per schedule, and users were unhappy about the same. However, as the token turns a year old today, we may see a change in the direction of things with the new website domain and the news that Karony will most likely share soon, regarding the Gambia venture.
