Shiba Inu’s (SHIB) virtual environment project, SHIB-The Metaverse, has been in development for quite some time. Although the SHIB community is extremely patient, the team has not given an update on the metaverse project for some time now. Now, the SHIB team has released a blog to bring the community up to speed on where it currently stands concerning its virtual world.
According to the blog, Shiba Inu’s metaverse team has undergone some structural changes. The team has also “made modifications to the project’s roadmap and vision.” To give consumers a more lifelike experience, SHIB’s metaverse has undergone significant alteration. The team has modified its previous development work and it is currently creating new Hubs from this new foundation.
The team has revealed several tools which will be a part of the metaverse. These tools include Object Placement, Terrain editing, Interactivity, Monetization, and Publishing. Users will be able to utilize these tools to create virtual real estate on plots of land, and then sell it, or put it up for rent. Users can also use the avatar builder to create their own avatars within the metaverse.
SHIB’s metaverse team has also created a new social media account. All updates will be shared via their new Twitter handle, @mvshib.
When will Shiba Inu Launch its Metaverse?
As per the blog, SHIB-The Metaverse should see the light of day by the end of 2023. The team is confident that users will be able to use and interact with the metaverse by the end of the year. However, they did say that everything in the metaverse might not be operational upon launch, as it is an “ongoing project.”
Apart from Shiba Inu’s metaverse, the community is also eagerly awaiting the launch of Shiabrium, SHIB’s layer-2. The community is curious to see if both initiatives will propel SHIB to new heights. Moreover, the two initiatives are expected to increase SHIB burns and thereby increase SHIB’s price. Nonetheless, a clear launch date for either project is yet unavailable.
At press time, SHIB was trading at $0.00001116, up by 1.9% in the last 24 hours.
