Wirex, the London-based digital payments platform, has joined the long list of platforms to offer Shiba Inu (SHIB) tokens to its users. Wirex users can now receive, send, store and exchange SHIB tokens throughput its app, wallet, and payment platforms. As per Wirex’s website, the announcement also mentions SHIB’s offspring tokens LEASH and BONE.
Wirex has around 4.6 million users, who are now potential SHIB users! Shiba Inu’s popularity across the web has led to many payment platforms accepting the token as one of their listed assets.
Apart from SHIB, the platform has also listed Terra (LUNA), Cosmos (ATOM), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Orchid Protocol (OXT), and Enjin Coin (ENJ).
Wirex is a worldwide digital payment platform that was founded in 2014 by Pavel Matveev and Dmitry Lazarichev. In 2015, the company claimed to have created the world’s first crypto-enabled payment card, which allowed users to spend both, crypto and fiat currencies.
Are we in a global Shiba Inu expansion phase?
Shiba Inu has seen a winning streak for sure. The popular token has seen many new partnerships and listings while branching out into diverse spaces.
BitPay, a payment service provider, recently announced that 1st Energy, an Australian energy firm, now accepts cryptocurrencies, including Shiba Inu, via BitPay.
AMC’s chief executive officer, Adam Aron, announced on Twitter in late February that on March 19, his firm will add support for BitPay-powered online payments to both its mobile app and website. Shiba Inu, by that logic, will be one of the accepted tokens.
Moreover, Welly, the Shiba Inu-themed restaurant, has received franchise requests from six continents! That pretty much covers the entire globe. Currently the only up and running Welly restaurant is in Naples, Italy.
Shiba Inu also entered the fashion sector, after partnering with Italian high-end designer John Richmond. The collaboration will result in the release of a fashion line consisting of 10,000 non-fungible tokens (NFTs). These tokens will be shown at Milan Fashion Week. SHIB, in collaboration with Richmond, has negotiated advertising on Milan’s public transportation trams with the city council. The team has already applied SHIB and John Richmond logos on tram number ‘1825.’
At the time of publication, SHIB was trading at $0.00002338, down by 2.7%.
