Shibarium Drives New Wallets to SHIB Ecosystem

Shiba Inu has long been among the most popular meme coin options on the market. Yet, like many similar concepts, the project has sought to expand its utility. Moreover, that has been done with the highly anticipated arrival of the layer 2 protocol, Shibarium.

Now, taking a look at the data since its launch, just how much has the new blockchain aided the ecosystem? The answer is immense, as Shiba Inu has seen Shibarium welcome more than 36,000 new wallets per day. Subsequently, it has facilitated a massive 1,246,666 new wallets since its launch.

Additionally, the number of transactions on the blockchain has only continued to expand and increase. Specifically, that figure has neared 3 million, with it growing by more than 500,000 over the course of the week. On a per-day basis, Shibarium is averaging 85,611 transactions.

Shibarium saw its long-awaited launch in August, to immense excitement from the community. However, it was difficult to navigate the massive influx of traffic. Therefore, it required a restart shortly after the initial launch. However, it does seem to be making good on its potential to grow the ecosystem immensely.
