According to Tangem, the Swiss company behind the Shiba Inu (SHIB) cold wallet, 10 wallets will be given away to some lucky winners. The wallet will launch on May 29, in less than a week. The SHIB-exclusive wallet will reportedly have advanced security features, supporting up to 6000 cryptos.
Fans and users expect SHIB’s Shibarium network to quickly follow the wallet launch. Shiba Inu (SHIB) influencer “Lucie” has once again said that the upcoming network should be live sometime in Q2 or Q3 of this year. However, she did say that it could take longer if some testing raises more issues. Nonetheless, Lucie has asked the community to not say that there is no estimated launch date.
The Shibarium launch has been pushed on many occasions. The network was initially supposed to go live in 2022. However, development delays have pushed the date well into 2023.
New token participates in Shiba Inu burns
SHIB’s burn portal is one of the project’s primary methods of reducing the circulating supply. A new crypto project has revealed that it too will participate in burning SHIB tokens. The project, named MARSWAP, launched yesterday on ShibaSwap. As per an official tweet, the project will burn SHIB on every transaction.
MARSWAP is not the first project to participate in Shiba Inu (SHIB) burns. Wolf AI, Blaze Token, and Koyo Token have all pledged to burn SHIB and help reduce its supply. These projects consider themselves allies of SHIB. However, it is possible that they want to tap into SHIB’s massive fan following, which is not surprising. However, at least they are participating in making SHIB more valuable via burns, although burns have seldom led to a price spike.
At press time, SHIB’s burn rate was at 9.69%, while the token was trading at $0.00000866, down by 4.3% in the last 24 hours.
