Amid the United States’ fragile economic standing, new reports have shown that taxpayers are placed on the hook for border policies across the country. Indeed, the Homeland Security Majority has released a shocking report. Specifically, the document confirms that US taxpayers have spent $451 billion per year on illegal migrants.

The report states that the funds “are spent on costs directly associated with illegal immigration and the unprecedented crisis at the southwest border,” incited by policies. Moreover, it notes that “only a small fraction is ever recouped” from those migrants. Subsequently, Americans are left to foot the rest of the bill.
