BRICS Alliance: Are Member Nations Ready To Leave the Bloc?

Zakharova confirmed that Russia has not received any official information about BRICS members planning to leave the alliance. She stressed that even after the US imposed tariffs on all member nations, they still stand with the bloc and are not bowing down to the intimidation tactics of the White House.
“The Russian side has not received any information about leaving BRICS or about the intention to leave its ranks from any member of the alliance, although US tariffs are already in effect for many of them,” said Zakharova.

The spokeswoman said that tariff threats and not making them leave the BRICS alliance, but they are coming together as one. The bloc is working closely to find a solution and not leaving midway. Tariffs “are pushing the BRICS countries not to leave the association, but, on the contrary, to expand trade, economic, and financial cooperation and develop mechanisms for practical cooperation that are resistant to external risks.”
The spokeswoman said that member nations always respect their partners’ sovereign foreign policies. She reminded the media at the press conference that “BRICS is a voluntary intergovernmental alliance,” and is solely based on consensus. Even new members share the same stage with no imbalance, unlike the West.
In conclusion, not a single member country from the BRICS alliance intends to leave the bloc. They are, in fact, banding together than ever before and finding solutions to the problems created by the US. This is why many other developing countries are expressing interest in being a part of the grouping.
