The founders of the Gemini exchange, Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, have officially donated a combined $1 million worth of Bitcoin (BTC) to unseat current US Senator Elizabeth Warren. The twins each donated $500,000 in the leading crypto to support crypto advocate John Deaton against the current Massachusetts Representative.

The Winklevoss support follows a similar donation made by Ripple. Indeed, the XRP issuers had announced a $1 million donation earlier this week. Warren has been outspoken in her stance against the cryptocurrency industry. These endorsements bring Deaton one step closer to potentially unseating the official.

He also called John Deaton “an American hero” when discussing his potential candidacy. The pro-XRP lawyer became a prominent voice amid the ongoing Ripple and SEC lawsuit. He already boasts strong backing from the crypto market. That could make way for an eventual victory.
