Born out of a meme, Dogecoin [DOGE] took the crypto-verse by storm. From creating interest among GenZ on TikTok to celebrity endorsements, DOGE is an A-lister in crypto-wood. However, most of these endorsements or support come in randomly and go away too soon. Despite the arrival and departure of these tourists, Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, has proved to be the biggest supporter of the meme coin.

A plethora of tweets was sent out in aid of Dogecoin. Musk hasn’t missed an opportunity to endorse the dog-themed crypto. The reason behind Musk’s inclination toward the asset has time and again been questioned. While some suggest he’s trying to pump the price of the coin, a few others say he was one of the founders. However, Musk cleared the air and revealed that the reason was as simple as,

“A lot of people who are not that wealthy have encouraged me to buy and support Dogecoin. I’m responding to those people.”

Musk was even hit with a lawsuit claiming he was part of the “Dogecoin Ponzi scheme.” Unfazed by the lawsuit, Musk vowed to continue supporting DOGE.

The self-proclaimed Dogefather has been an integral part of the crypto industry. He even went on to add support for Bitcoin. But, the world saw how long it lasted. Dogecoin, however, seems to have taken permanent residence at Tesla and Musk’s other firms.

Here’s how Musk has been supporting Dogecoin

While Doge-centric tweets have proved useful, the real deal comes from the inclusion or listing of Dogecoin. Further elevating DOGE’s presence in his life, Musk also added support for the meme coin to his firms.

Tesla

2022 started on a great note for the Dogecoin community. Musk’s electric car company, Tesla, allowed individuals to purchase brand merchandise using DOGE.

While cars were out of the picture, DOGE could be used to buy other merchandise. Eligible products have the cryptocurrency logo next to the ‘Order’ button.

Tesla Supercharging station

The community was ecstatic following the inclusion of DOGE in Tesla. But Musk wanted further to elevate the presence of Dogecoin at the firm. Therefore, he added support for DOGE payments at the Santa Monica Supercharger.

Santa Monica emerged as the first Supercharger in Tesla to accept DOGE, and the firm will likely take the OG meme crypto to several other supercharging stations.

SpaceX

Elon Musk certainly created an uproar by hinting at the possibility of SpaceX accepting Dogecoin. SpaceX was established by Musk back in 2002. The company was set up to revolutionize space technology all while making affordable spaceflight. A company of this stature was set to accept a cryptocurrency created as a joke.

A plethora of tweets about how Dogecoin would conquer Mars began surfacing. A notable spike of 9 percent soon followed this.

The Boring Company

Elon Musk decided to take Dogecoin to Las Vegas. Musk’s Boring Company had previously developed Loop, a regional transit system. Loop riders will soon be able to pay with Dogecoin. Loop’s expansion is on the cards as 50 more stations will soon debut. This would further boost the adoption of DOGE.

Twitter could soon make it to this list, the community speculates. While the deal has been taking several turns, Musk has affirmed the presence of DOGE on the social media platform.

Additionally, speaking about his latest DOGE-friendly move, Musk said, “Supporting Doge wherever possible.” Therefore, it’s safe to say that the world will witness Dogecoin supremacy sooner or later.
