Shiba Inu has a lot of developments up its sleeve in 2022 such as Shibarium, SHIB: The Metaverse, ShibaSwap 2.0, and ShibaNet, among others. The SHIB team is on a hiring spree lately and got three visual effects experts with decades of experience to join their upcoming Metaverse project. The hiring of industry experts Marcie Jastrow, Sherri Cuono, and David Kern suggests that SHIB: The Metaverse could be shaping up well.
Just a few hours ago, the lead developer of ShibaSwap, Shytoshi Kusama tweeted a GIF from the Avengers tagging Marcie Jastrow, Sherri Cuono, David Kern, and William Volk. All the four people ‘tagged’ are working towards building SHIB: The Metaverse and this indicates that a major announcement about the Metaverse project might be on the cards.
Shytoshi has been posting GIFs recently indicating to the community an upcoming and exciting announcement. However, Shytoshi has not revealed further details and we’ll have to wait and watch what the announcement could be.
Going by his ‘tag’ list that includes Marcie, Sherri, David, and William, we can assume the announcement might be about SHIB: The Metaverse, or another upcoming development. Nonetheless, we’ll have to wait for an official statement from the team to know what this might be all about.
Shiba Inu Metaverse
From details revealed thus far, the Shiba Inu Metaverse will have over 100,000 plots up for sale that can be minted by users. Plot owners will be able to earn passive income, generate rewards and also collect in-game resources. However, not every piece of land will be for sale in the Metaverse as some will be used as common grounds.
Users will be able to explore plots of their own choice ranging from Tier 1 to Tier 4. However, Tier 1 will be the most expensive as it will only have a few plots of land up for grabs. Tier 2 to Tier 4 will be comparatively less expensive as they won’t consist of rare plots.
At press time, Shiba Inu was trading at $0.00001277 and is up 10% in the 24 hours day trade. SHIB is also up 55.7% in the last 30 trading days.
